Please
find attached the announcement flyer, agenda and application for our =
Special International Year of the Reef =
Teacher
Training with snorkel trip. In addition to a field =
component
(snorkel trip/glass-bottom boat), a free copy of Reef Coral =
Identification by
Paul Humann, a training on stony coral and reef fish identification, a =
small
stipend, breakfast/lunch and several other fantastic =
resources.
This
workshop is by application only (brief application attached) and =
preference
will be given to teachers who are doing classroom
or campus wide coral reef education. This could be =
anything
from essay contests, to art projects, science projects, marine biology =
clubs
and so on. Some preference will also be given to teachers who =
have
already participated in one of our workshops and to those who attended =
and/or
volunteered at the International Coral Reef Symposium’s
I
am working on securing in-service credits for each County. Please =
share
this with any teachers you feel may be interested and remember this is =
not
limited to science teachers.
If
interested in the workshop, please submit the application via email by =

September 16.
